Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is based on the teachings, research, and practice of Yoga, Buddhism, Neuroscience, Psychology, and Ayurveda. Yoga therapy is not a yoga class and most clients have never practiced yoga and have no intention to.  It is called yoga therapy because it is based on the belief that the best way to the mind is through the body.  

 

Through a carefully lead embodied practice a client will to come to understand behavior, thought patterns, and life experience in a new way that incorporates all layers of being.  This therapeutic method can transform stress, anxiety, fear, depression, help heal from the past, and embrace and manifest life changes.  

Yoga therapy is a trauma-informed practice.  

Yoga therapy is offered to individuals, couples, and groups.

Rewilding

Mindful connection with the outdoors is fundamental for living a balanced, inspired, and fulfilled life.  It is coming home to our natural state of being, empowered, expansive, and at ease.  Awaken your vital essence in the natural spaces you were born to roam.

 

Practices help you release stress, breathe fresh air, get moving, calm the mind, sooth the spirit, and regain your sense of curiosity and adventure.

 

We offer stand alone mindful outdoor experiences, practices integrated with yoga and more challenging physical activities, and retreats.

Christine is a Yoga Therapist and Mindful Outdoor Guide.  She is also a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT-500 Hour Yoga Teacher with over 1000 hours of specialized training in numerous yoga disciplines.  She has a Bachelor’s in English and Philosophy from the University of Delaware and a Master’s in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England.

Christine's mission is to help people feel at home and powerful in their bodies and in the natural world.

OGGI BE was founded by Christine Badalamenti Smith.  It is collection of practices and services that embrace the unique qualities of every person as they arrive in the present moment, it is a community of engaged and empowered people embracing what is and what can be, and it is a state of mind. 

OGGI BE was born of Christine's lifelong passion for studying wellness that acknowledges all aspects of being human today, including natural body care, nutrition, physical fitness and yoga, psychology, sociology, and spirituality.  

 

OGGI BE is a bridge from the individual to the communal and natural world.  This platform would not be aligned with Christine's deepest values if it did not honor her past career in environmental advocacy. 

Human wellness is inextricably linked with the wellness of our Earth.  P
eople are just as much a measure of Earth's health as other species and habitats.  Improving the balance within people, and the connections among people will ripple out in meaningful ways that result in a true balance with nature.  


Christine feels the most herself when she is serving others.  She also hopes to provide opportunities for others to practice and experience the deep sense of gratitude and wellbeing that comes from service.  Keep an eye out on this website for more information about service opportunities in the future. Giving and connecting is a natural state of human being and this practice also helps brings the body into balance with itself, its community, and the planet.
